Ok, so I'm still no good at this. I have good intentions - that counts for something I think.
Tonight Carlee and I joined memaw, Kerry and Jenna for a trip to the Greenwood fair. While we were getting ready for the big night, Jenna tried to convince us that she was going to see a giraffe at the fair. Um...sorry Jenna, no Giraffes in Greenwood. But, to our surprise, there was a HUGE, stinky camel - along with a "petting zoo" of some really strange looking animals - some kind of goat with about 10 horns (or maybe 4...) and some kind of llama-looking thing with a poodle haircut and a major underbite! They loved it!
Carlee is terrified of everything (puppies, bugs, loud noises, rides etc. etc.)...but she insisted that she wanted to get on the carousel. Memaw convinced me to let her, and she loved it - I rode with her, so I was pretty sure that's why it was OK. When she said she wanted to ride the cars, I have to admit I was a little nervous. I couldn't ride that with her and I could just see her bailing out while it was going around. She won't even sit on the little horses outside of Wal-Mart. But, I put her in next to Jenna, buckled her in and went back outside the little gate. She did great. Just smiled waved every time she passed by us. Memaw got some great pictures. (I'll post them when I figure out how)..she and Jenna looked so darn cute.
I think she's growing up.
Tonight was the first time I've seen her really confuse me and Kerry. She kept calling Kerry mommy...when Kerry said "I'm not your mommy" she just looked at her broken-hearted. I said, "Carlee, I'm your mommy" and she looked at me like I was crazy.
I guess maybe it is a little confusing.
